Mainstream Manufacturing Processes for Metal Pipe Fittings

Blank Forming
Die Forging: Uses round steel or steel ingots as raw materials; blanks are formed via die-forging equipment. This is the primary forming method for unions and hydraulic fittings, resulting in high structural strength.
Die Casting: Used for zinc alloy fittings; molten metal fills the mold via specialized casting equipment. High-precision die-cast parts are obtained after sealing and the removal of excess material.

Precision Machining
Automated tapping equipment is used for threading; threads are cut in 2–3 passes, with broken or missing threads limited to no more than 10% of the total thread count to ensure precision.
Critical areas-such as sealing surfaces and connection slots-undergo turning and milling to ensure mating tolerances meet standard requirements.

Surface Treatment
Standard processes include galvanizing, matte finishing, and chrome plating; high-end products utilize Dacromet coating or electrophoretic painting, offering corrosion resistance far superior to standard galvanizing.

Sealing Component Assembly
Rubber or silicone sealing rings are inserted; some products feature a dual-seal structure (O-ring plus flat seal) to reduce the risk of leakage.
