Tiered Periodic Inspections
- Daily Inspections: Check the gearbox oil level and look for abnormal noises or leaks before operation; monitor the housing surface temperature (it should be no more than 30°C above the ambient temperature).
- Monthly Inspections: Measure and record gear mesh clearance using a feeler gauge (recommended standard: ≤0.2 mm) and clean accumulated dust from gear surfaces.
- Quarterly Inspections: Conduct a comprehensive check of gear tooth wear, tighten all connecting bolts, and replace the filter element.
- Annual In-depth Inspections: Disassemble the unit to inspect gear meshing precision, refinish gear surfaces showing minor pitting, replace aged seals and bearings, and perform a complete gearbox seal integrity test.
Scientific Lubrication Management
- Lubricant Selection: Select oil with appropriate viscosity based on operating conditions-low viscosity for light-load/high-speed applications and high viscosity for heavy-load/low-speed applications; apply water-resistant grease to exposed components in humid environments.
- Oil Change Intervals: Standard industrial gearboxes require an oil change every 1,500–8,000 operating hours (intervals may be extended when using synthetic lubricants); under normal conditions, change industrial gear oil every six months, but shorten the interval for demanding conditions such as high temperatures or heavy loads.
- Operational Procedures: Clean the fill port before adding oil to prevent contamination; thoroughly remove old oil and metal debris during oil changes to avoid mixing old and new lubricants.
