General Inspection Intervals
- Routine Tightness Check: It is recommended to check the tightness of bleeder and exhaust bolts every 20,000 kilometers or during every scheduled vehicle service. Use a torque wrench to verify that they are tightened to standard specifications, preventing loosening caused by prolonged vibration.
- High-Frequency Usage Check: For bleeder bolts connecting exhaust system components, perform a visual and tightness inspection every 5,000 kilometers to detect potential loosening early and prevent exhaust leaks.
Scenario-Specific Intervals
- Urban Congestion: Frequent stop-and-go driving causes significant temperature fluctuations in the exhaust system; therefore, a full cleaning and anti-rust maintenance-along with an inspection for thread wear-is recommended every 10,000–20,000 kilometers.
- Predominantly Highway Driving: With stable engine operation and lower exhaust system loads, the maintenance interval for a comprehensive inspection can be extended to every 20,000–30,000 kilometers.
- Coastal, Dusty, or Humid Regions: Bolts are more susceptible to corrosion from salt and moisture. Anti-rust maintenance is recommended every 15,000–20,000 kilometers, and ferrous (iron-based) bolts should be mandatorily replaced every three years to prevent them from seizing or snapping due to rust.
