Routine Periodic Inspections
- Tightness Check: Every 20,000 kilometers or during routine maintenance, use a torque wrench to verify the bolt's tightness against the standard torque specified in the vehicle manual, preventing loosening caused by vehicle vibration.
- Visual Inspection: Inspect the bolt surface for rust, cracks, or thread wear; replace immediately if damage is found, and do not mix bolts of different specifications.
- Sealing Performance Verification: Check the area around the bolt for signs of oil or water seepage or exhaust carbon deposits to identify potential leaks; if a leak is detected, replace the matching sealing gasket as well.
Cleaning and Anti-Corrosion Treatment
- Targeted Cleaning: Use system-specific cleaners to remove dust, oil, carbon deposits, and debris from the bolt threads and surrounding areas, preventing dirt accumulation that could accelerate corrosion.
- Anti-Corrosion Protection: Apply a high-temperature anti-corrosion coating or rust inhibitor to the non-threaded surfaces of the bolt to protect the threaded section from corrosive agents such as rainwater and salt.
- Lubrication Groove Maintenance: For specialized bolts equipped with lubrication grooves, periodically inject a small amount of high-temperature lubricant into the groove to prevent the buildup of rust or debris that could cause blockages, thereby ensuring smooth disassembly in the future.
