Daily/Weekly Inspections
- Daily: Before startup, check for abnormal noise, vibration, oil level issues, or seal leakage; clean surface dust and oil residue.
- Weekly: Verify the oil level in the sight glass (ensure it is at the 2/3 mark) and check the housing temperature for abnormalities.
Monthly/Quarterly Maintenance
- Monthly: Check the torque of fasteners and clean the area surrounding the worm gear; in dusty environments, also remove debris from the gear tooth surfaces.
- Every 3 Months: Change the specialized lubricating oil under standard operating conditions; in high-temperature or heavy-load environments, replenish grease every 2 weeks.
Semi-annual/Annual In-depth Maintenance
- Every 6 Months: Perform a complete oil change under standard conditions; inspect worm gear tooth wear and verify meshing clearance.
- Annually: Conduct a comprehensive inspection of bearing clearance and seal aging; calibrate motor-to-worm coaxiality (deviation ≤ 0.1mm).
Maintenance Intervals by Equipment Type
- Worm Gear Reducers: Perform the first oil change after 300 hours of operation; subsequently change oil every 2,500–4,000 hours under standard conditions (reduce interval by 20% for heavy-load or dusty environments).
- Worm-Drive Air Compressors: Change mineral oil every 500 hours; replace the three filters (air, oil, and oil-air separator) every 2,000 hours; overhaul core components every 8,000 hours (reduce intervals by 30%–50% for harsh operating conditions).
- Precision Worm Gear Assemblies: Conduct load testing every six months during stable operation; replace rubber seals every 1–2 years; replace mechanical seals every 3–5 years as needed.
